DJI has been the world leader in aerial drone technology for many years and they have upgraded their system with the newly launched Phantom 4 Advanced aerial drone. This new version enables consumers to expand their creative vision and enjoy the newly designed 1-inch 20 megapixel CMOS image sensor. The upgraded camera sensor is able to perform better during low light situations by capturing greater information in every pixel. Dynamic range is vastly improved and digital noise levels are kept to a bare minimum. Aerial drones from DJI have always been the favorite among consumers for their simple design elements and pristine performance. The Phantom 4 Advanced has maintained the same levels of unsurpassed uniqueness to its agility in flight and image capturing prowess.

The intricate use of titanium and magnesium alloy has vastly increased the rigidity of the airframe. The lightweight materials also aid in bringing the weight down to a minimum. Critical electronic components have been elegantly housed within the main body and the overall weight has been brought down much lesser than the Phantom 4 aerial drone. Better flight times and agility in flight are the benefits to this lightweight construction.
Aerial imagery is the primary reason for most consumer drones. Ultra-high definition videos reveal the glorious beauty of our world from above. The Phantom 4 Advanced now has an upgraded 1-inch 20 megapixel CMOS sensor that is capable of delivering astounding aerial imagery. The imaging team at DJI have custom engineered the lens that is made up of 8 elements and arranged in seven groups. The 1-inch image sensor is 4 times bigger than the one used on the Phantom 4. The larger sized image sensor instantly gratifies your appetite for gorgeous aerial imagery. Not only does it capture more information in every pixel, but the signal to noise ratio and low-light performance has also been improved. The ISO range has been boosted to 12800 in the Phantom 4 Advanced which is coupled along with a higher contrast feature. The captured images are not only ready to be used immediately but has enough image information for all your post processing requirements. 4K video is now captured at 60fps in H.264 format, while it drops down to 30fps in H.265 format. This onboard 4K camera is as powerful as most conventional DSLRs and is truly a delight to the avid photographer and videographer on all aspects.
The Phantom 4 Advanced is equipped with Flight Autonomy system that comprises a 5 vision sensor system. Phantom 4 Advanced keeps the two-direction, obstacle sensor in front and below. Coupled along with dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and Glonass), Ultra-sonic rangefinders and redundant sensors, the Phantom 4 Advanced can hover precisely in remote locations and fly with utmost precision in challenging flight environments. Dual vision sensors which are mounted in the front of the aircraft is capable of seeing up to 100 feet ahead of the aircraft and is capable of auto-braking, hover or detour in front of obstacles within a 50 foot range.
A brand new technology that is worth mentioning is the new Draw feature for waypoint control on the Phantom 4 Advanced aerial drone. There are 2 Draw modes that can be used in different scenarios as per the requirements. Other advanced flight options include the ActiveTrack, TapFly, Return to Home and Gesture modes which can be used in different flight conditions.
The Phantom 4 Advanced uses 3 unique flight characteristics for different productions.
The remote controller for the Phantom 4 Advanced follows a simplistic design on the outside while housing in a wide array of precise flight controls. The 5.5 inch screen is built-in with the controller and provides the pilot a first person view from the main camera. Battery life is astounding at 5 hours of continuous operation. The built-in DJI GO 4 application is now capable of live streaming, editing and sharing the aerial videos and photographs instantly. The integrated LightBridge technology is fast enough to stream HD video with a maximum range of up to 4.3 miles.
The Phantom 4 Advanced is here to stay and replaces the previous king of aerial drones, the Phantom 4.
DJI customers can relish on the after sales support for the Phantom 4 while also considering the option to replacing their older model with the technologically superior Phantom 4 Advanced aerial drone.
