  • NDVI X3 CAMERA UNIT

Step up our game with the NDVI X3 camera. This is a custom NDVI camera unit built for use with the Inspire 1 and Matrice 100 aerial platforms. Upgrading your scouting device can be done almost instantly, since the NDVI X3 uses the DJI's interchangeable gimbal design for a perfect fit with no extra alterations.

A brilliant imaging process is flawlessly executed with the help of a Sony EXMOR 1/2.3” CMOS sensor. The structural rigidity of the camera is strong enough to be used in the vast agricultural environments that it will be subjected to in its lifetime. The original camera and the image capturing hardware are based on the X3 Inspire/Matrice camera structure. However, the original X3 camera has been altered professionally to solely filter the Red + NIR waves which helps to maximize its capability for a broader range of agricultural uses. The use of a Dualband NDVI imaging results in with all the major benefits of using a multispectral imaging system, without the need for massive or expensive equipment.

The Near Infrared Light and Red Light that is primarily absorbed by the plants are captured using the NDVI filter. With the help of a little post processing work, a color gradient can be applied over the captured images that aids in projecting the contrast between the regions of healthy and non-healthy vegetation. The blue channel present in the camera will help highlight the infrared light, while the Red light shows up in the red channel of the camera. This makes it an easy process to separate and process the image for NDVI purposes and aids in an effective work time with maximum progress.
