The structure of the Inspire 1 Pro is made up of plastic and carbon fiber. The reason behind using carbon fiber is that it is durable and lightweight.

  1. Propellers (Rotors):

The propellers of Inspire 1 Pro are also made up of plastic and carbon fiber. The carbon fiber makes the propellers lightweight, enabling it to take tight turns smoothly and at the same time ensuring safe takeoffs and landings. The durability feature protects the propellers from getting destroyed in the case of crash landing or while encountering a fatal accident.

  1. Camera:

The most significant feature that a person considers during buying a drone is its camera. People mostly ask whether or not this drone has built-in camera or not and if it has then what are the spec of the camera. For this reason, DJI made Inspire 1 Pro with the best built-in camera that is 16 megapixel. The Inspire 1 Pro is also capable of shooting 4K videos with a3840 x 2160 video resolution. Right now DJI Inspire 1 Pro is considered to be the best drone available in the market with respect to the camera. The built-in camera of Inspire 1 Pro in DJI Zenmuse X5.

  1. Stabilized Gimbal:

The Inspire 1 Pro comes with a built-in set of gimbal that is steady and durable. This is why the Inspire 1 Pro is capable of taking still photographs and making videos even at high speed.

  1. Flight Time:

The flight time of Inspire 1 Pro with the battery included in the box will provide up to 18 minutes of flight, but with the larger battery option (5700mAh) will allow you to fly for 22 minutes - which is considered to be greater than its counterparts. The flight time is calculated on the basis of time a drone flies on a single charged battery. The flight time is proportional to the mass of the drone and also on the extra weight that is added on the drone, such as postal orders, parachute and other stuff. The more will be the weight, the lesser would be the flight time.

  1. Loading Capacity:

The extra payload that can be added on the Inspire 1 Pro is 1630 grams. The payload is the maximum limit of weight that a drone can transport along with the weight of its components that are built-in. If more weight is added, then the flight time of the drone is reduced.

  1. Maximum Speed:

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro can fly at a speed of 22 meters per second, which is approximately 50 miles per hour (mph). This horizontal velocity is calculated independent of the wind speed and direction of the wind. If flown in the direction of wind, then Inspire 1 Pro can achieve higher speed as well. The highest ascent speed of the Inspire 1 Pro is 5 meter per second. The lowest descent speed of the Inspire 1 Pro is 4 meters per second.

  1. Minimum and Maximum Temperature to be Operated in:

The Inspire 1 Pro should be operated at a temperature between -10° Celsius to 40° Celsius or 14° Fahrenheit to 104° Fahrenheit. Operating the drone above and below the mentioned temperature may result in damaging the parts of the drone and a lot shorter battery flight time.  These types of batteries don't do well in extreme weather conditions.

  1. Extreme Flying Altitude:

The Inspire 1 Pro can be flown at a height of 400 feet (120 meters) above the sea level.  400 feet is the legal limit, beyond that you are flying in FAA airspace.  In order to know that how high your drone can fly or what is it's currently hight, look at the mobile app screen and it will clearly tell you your current height above ground.

  1. Vision Positioning System:

This is an awesome feature if you are planning to fly drone indoor. While flying indoors, there is a chance that there would be no GPS signal. So there are two sensors underneath the camera that measures the distance and the ground below is also scanned with the help of it. It allows the Inspire 1 Pro to fly inside the house by keeping it steady and without colliding with the obstacles around it. It is a very cool feature if you are thinking of taking pictures or making videos inside the house. The highest height at which the Inspire 1 Pro can operate with the help of the vision positioning system is 16 feet or 500 centimeters (cm). The maximum range in which Inspire 1 Pro will work away from the remote controller in the vision positioning system is 9.8 feet or 300 centimeters (cm).

Overall, the Inspire 1 Pro is loaded with features and qualities that gives it an edge over its fellow drones. The Inspire 1 Pro comes with a handsome price tag of $4,500. According to the analysts the price is pretty high, but the features, specs and the quality of the drone minimizes the price concerns. The DJI is also working to make it even a better gadget by coming up with different types of cameras and updating mobile and tablet software by adding new features to it.

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro is the big brother of the older DJI Inspire and is packed with much advanced features than its predecessor. Form factors are quite similar between the two, but what sets the DJI Inspire 1 Pro apart is its revolutionary new 16 megapixel Zenmuse X5 camera with a Micro Four Thirds sensor which is 8 times larger. Not only does it record brighter images and videos, but it takes the concept of Dynamic Range to a whole new level. With 12.8 stops of dynamic range, the visual content oozes out with details even in the areas of shadows and highlights. The interchangeable lens mount further enhances the versatility of the camera. Innovative features such as Ready to Fly, GPS compatibility, Altitude and Position hold, Flight planning, Return to Home, Automatic landing and Follow me capabilities make this as unique as it looks.

DJI Inspire 1 Pro UAV:

Take one look at this black and white beauty and you will be amazed with its sheer build quality and its dominant appearance. The abundance of carbon fiber and plastic combination makes it lightweight and durable to stand up to the grueling environment and flying conditions. Weighing in at a mere 2.8 kgs, which is approximately 6.3 pounds, it is easy to be lugged around to remote locations with ease. The 6 low noise yet powerful carbon fiber rotors can propel the drone to a top speed of 50 mph. When flown in the direction of the wind, it can achieve even greater speeds. The carbon fiber blades weigh less but are tough enough to withstand crash landings as well. The drone has a highest ascent speed of 5 meter per second and a cool descent speed of 4 meters per second.

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro drone uses a Zenmuse X5 16.0 Megapixel camera. It features a revolutionary new Micro Four Thirds sensor which is 8 times larger than its predecessor and offers image quality that can surpass your imagination. Capture stunning visual content from above in 4k Ultra High Definition or click 16 megapixel wide-angle photographs with vivid colors and crisp sharpness. The large sensor size provides High ISO capabilities ranging from 100 – 25600. Digital noise levels, even in High ISO are cut down to a minimum and you can enjoy breathtaking imagery even in low light situations. Dynamic range is important for aerial imagery or video and with the available 12.8 stops of dynamic range in this sensor, you can appreciate the extra level of details that are captured even in the challenging image areas such as highlight and shadows. Colors are more vibrant than before, resulting in images and video content that can impress your audience in a few seconds. The Zenmuse X5 also becomes the world’s first Micro Four Thirds aerial videography and photography camera that gives you the freedom of interchangeable lenses according to the situation. Industry standard MFT mount is used here, since it is the most popular one.

Some of the common lenses that you can use are:

♦ Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2.0 lens with a 84° FOV
♦ DJI MFT 15mm f/1.7 ASPH Prime lens with a 72° FOV
♦ Panasonic Lumix 15mm G Leica DG Summilux f/1.7 ASPH Lens with a 72° FOV

DJI’s industry leading innovation in stabilization is used in the Inspire 1 Pro drone. The Zenmuse X5 is equipped with a 3-axis gimbal system that helps to keep the camera stable while in flight. In flight mode, the sensors within the gimbal are constantly in communication with the main unit and compensates with every minor movement that the camera makes. This innovative feature keeps the camera rock steady at all times and helps capture crisp and sharper aerial footage even at high speeds.

The quad propellers of the DJI Inspire 1 Pro are made of plastic and carbon fiber. Carbon fiber, as you might have known, is well reputed for its high stiffness and tensile strength, low in weight, high in chemical resistance, tolerance to high temperatures and low thermal expansion Though it is lightweight, it is tougher than steel and helps to keep the blades intact, in case of a crash landing. It has a wingspan of 559 mm, approximately 22 inches which is quite long enough to aid the drone in a stable flight and reach top speeds much quicker.

The included battery that comes along with the DJI Inspire 1 Pro is able enough to give a flight time of 18 minutes. An optional availability of a larger capacity battery is also available if required that can help you keep the drone way up high for 22 minutes. The flight time is proportional to the overall mass of the drone. If the added weight is kept to a minimum, then the flight time increases accordingly.

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro can carry a maximum payload of 1630 grams. Try to keep this weight to a minimum for better maneuverability and longer flight times.

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro can be operated in temperatures that range from -10° Celsius to 40° Celsius or  14° Fahrenheit to 104° Fahrenheit. Operating the drone in very high or low temperatures can cause system failure and overall damage to the drone.

400 feet (120 Meters) is quite high and the DJI Inspire 1 Pro can easily be flown in these high altitudes with ease. Try not to exceed the 400 feel limit, since it is the legal limit of FAA airspace. The DJI mobile application gives you a constant feedback on the exact height of the drone above the ground, keeping you safe from not flying into the restricted airspace.

If limitations are set in the App, the maximums are height 0-300m and distance 0-500m. However note that you do not have to turn them on. At that point in GPS the height and distance are only limited by your lipos. If you are in restricted airspace then the limits are built into the firmware. As was stated in ATTI the limitation is 120m or about 400'.**

Vision Positioning System:

If you are planning to fly this awesome drone indoors, GPS will not be an option to aid you with a stable flight. The DJI Inspire 1 Pro has two sensors underneath the main camera unit which constantly scans the environment for obstacles and helps keep the drone from flying into one.  This can be a useful feature, if you are planning to take videos or photography for functions, party or events, which are mostly conducted in closed environments. The vision positioning system is effective to a maximum height of 16 feet or 500 centimeters. The maximum distance that the vision positioning system works away from the remote controller is 9.8 feet or 300 centimeters.

The DJI’s GO APPLICATION lets you control the Inspire 1 Pro drone in a very intuitive manner. This streamlined application is versatile to be used easily yet provides the user with an array of information and a live feed of HD video from the drone’s camera unit. Tap to focus and manual control of various controls such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO can be intuitively controlled and maintained in flight to capture visually stunning aerial footage. You can also edit the captured footage with this handy app and share it to popular social media websites. This is available for both Android and iOS users which maximizes compatibility with most mobile users.

The ergonomically designed remote controller is a masterpiece on its own. Housed within a beautifully curved unit, are easy controls to navigate the drone across the skies above. Dedicated buttons for photography and videography make it a breeze to capture visually stunning footage with a tap of a single button. Using the DJI Lightbridge technology, live HD feed of video is streamed from the drone’s main camera unit to the display unit mounted on the remote controller. This makes it easier to click what is required and reduce the time spent on post processing.
