4K and HD Video Capture
The camera used in the Inspire 1 Quadcopter is capable of recording videos in 4k Ultra High Definition at 24p and 30p. HD mode is available too with frame rates varying from 24p to 60p. The 1/2.3” CMOS sensor with a 94° field of view is perfect to capture awesome wide angle views of our world from above. The 35mm equivalent works out to about 20mm, which gives a field of view at par with fisheye but not as saturated. This indirectly promotes less distortion and emphasizes the subject even more.
Brushless servo motors are used in the 3-axis stabilization system to which the camera is mounted upon. Since the camera is able to rotate a complete 360°, it does not matter to which direction the quadcopter turns to, the camera will still remain locked on to the main subject that is being framed within. Through the use of the controls on the transmitter, you can manually pan and tilt the camera too as required. Horizon level is maintained and even the smallest movements are counteracted upon to provide a clear footage without any blur.
Using DJI Lightbridge technology, a real-time feed from the Inspire 1 camera can be displayed onto the attached mobile device or a HDMI monitor in 720p resolution. The first person view from the main camera is perfect for photographers and videographers to frame their subjects from the ground. It can also help them to record or capture visual content that is required and eliminates the need of more time that is spent on post processing. This feature is available up to a distance of 1.2 miles only. Through the use of a USB cable, you can also connect any smartphones or tablets directly to the transmitter and view the content in HD resolution.
The Inspire 1 has a gimbal system and camera that can be removed from the aircraft for safer transport and future upgrades. This unique feature lets you upgrade to newer technology of stabilization systems as and when it is available.
Retractable Carbon Fiber Arms & Powerful Propulsion System
The landing gear of the Inspire 1 automatically retracts once the drone is in flight. This enables the camera to have a better field of view without any obstacles. The entire propulsion system of the Inspire 1 drone has been re-engineered and re-built to handle the demands of advanced flight maneuvers, while at the same time retaining reliability and increase in efficiency.
The unique looking Inspire 1 is capable of reaching speeds much faster due to its aerodynamic design that helps it cut through the wind with less resistance. This helps the drone to have an increased battery life with less strain on power consumption and helps you control the drone easily.
Flying the drone indoors is quite a challenge since there is no option of GPS to aid in stability of the drone while in flight. The smarter Inspire 1 has a unique camera that is assisted with sonic waves to provide similar stability just as it has outdoors. With this technology, the drone can be stopped instantly when the controls are released and quickly to pilot commands even when there is no option of GPS.
The DJI mobile application lets you control the Inspire 1 easily and also control the camera settings that are required according to the ambience levels in any situation. Flight telemetry is real time with this application and keeps the user informed of all the required information. You can also create autopilot courses using way points in the same way you can do via the DJI iPad ground station system.
Various camera settings such as ISO, Exposure compensation, White balance, Aperture and many more can be changed accordingly to ensure that every click and every video footage looks exactly the way you want it to.
The Live map shows the exact location of your Inspire 1 drone at all times. It can either be enlarged or minimized as and when it is required and it also shows the most recent flight path.
Through the use of GPS signal on the transmitter (remote controller), the Home point automatically refreshes. This is particularly useful if the drone is in flight and you have to move to another location and ask it to follow you where you go and land according to the newer location. Multiple configurations are available to the user via the Dynamic Home Point function.
With just a single tap, you can make your Inspire 1 to take off and hover, ready to capture stunning aerial footage at any given moment. The same can be done for landing too, where the button is tapped again to go into landing mode to safely auto land onto the desired location.
Operating at 2.4 Ghz, the remote transmitter of the Inspire 1 drone has dedicated buttons to capture photography as well as videography. The gimbal control dial can precisely control the 3-axis gimbal system in the Inspire 1, letting you make fine adjustments even in flight.
