Litchi App Review for DJI Phantom & Inspire

DJI has given the world some of the most fabulous drones that has ever taken to the skies. Not only they look their part, but they sure do dominate the skies above with their aerial artistry and bring back gorgeous videos and still photographs that can inspire anyone who gets to feast their eyes on them.

Litchi Mobile App for Flying Drones

The company’s version of mobile application to control their drones was the commonly used DJI Go application that was of course provided as a free application for smart devices. With intuitive interface that gave a host of valuable flight and telemetry information, they made the art of piloting the drones into a much easier task. But now, there is a new sheriff in town and he’s got a cool name to entice the users too. Litchi is an advanced application for smart devices that lets you unlock the full potential of your DJI drones. Not only it is a technically advanced application that boasts state of the art computer algorithms but it is also a fresh new start on how you control your DJI drones. DJI Go is a free application that is mostly suited for beginners who are learning to master their drones for the first time. It features an intuitive screen with all the required flight information strategically placed on the sides of the screen for easy viewing at all times. This application does what it is supposed to do and it manages to do that actively without any glitches and makes things easier to deal with.

However, professional drone pilots are always on the lookout for something that can do more. This is where Litchi steps in and manages to amaze its users. One may not spot anything significantly different on the main layout but the list of things that this application does is something to reckon with. Firstly, the interface is simple to use and provides a lot of information that is required for a well-planned flight. The Litchi application uses a series of perfectly synchronized computer vision algorithms to maintain that perfect frame at all times. If you are tired of flying or have to focus on getting those camera settings right, then switch to the autonomous flight modes and the Litchi does a fantastic job of taking care of the chosen flight pattern like a professional. Litchi features the most powerful waypoint mission engine that can seamlessly sync across all your devices including PC/Mac. It lets you join various other Litchi pilots and explore missions that were intuitively planned across the world by many brilliant minds. If you happen to own a virtual reality glasses or which can be purchased easily, the Litchi app lets you harness the power of your smart device and helps you dive into an exciting world of FPV (First person view) flight experience. Litchi is smart enough to create readable flight logs for every single flight that you get to enjoy with. It is automatically uploaded to your HealthyDrones account which facilitates an instant post-flight analysis.

The various flight modes include Panorama, Orbit me, Follow me, Ground station and Waypoints, VR Mode (Virtual Reality) and Focus modes. What was not possible with the DJI Go has now been made possible with the Litchi application. You would be amazed to know how much more your DJI drone can do with this application installed on your smart device. There is so much more that can be written about this awesome application but it is best experienced when installed on your smart device and you get to enjoy it all for yourself. Available in Google Play store and the App store, it is proving to be the quintessential smarter application that every DJI user should try and harness all the amazing abilities of their DJI drones.
