Introducing the phenomenal DJI Agras MG-1, a multi-rotor powered agricultural octocopter that is coupled along with an innovative spraying system that can outperform most spraying operations in the field. It brings a whole new level of efficiency and manageability for the agricultural sector. Propelled by 8 powerful rotors, it is able to carry up to 10 kg of liquid payload that can be sprayed over the required terrain. With a liquid carrying capacity of up to 10 kg or 10 liters, it can increase its spraying range over vast areas of land and reduce the overall work time significantly.

The octocopter is made of high-strength carbon fiber materials which make it lighter yet very robust in its construction. The rugged build quality enables it to withstand harsh weather conditions. The integrated centrifugal cooling system keeps the working components in top notch condition and increases its lifespan by more than 3 times. The innovative spray nozzles can be chosen according to the spraying requirements and the type of liquids being used. The rugged construction is dust-proof, water-resistant and made of anti-corrosive materials.

Build and design of the DJI Agras Agriculture Drone

Though it is purely built as an agricultural octocopter, the DJI Agras MG-1 does not disappoint you with its appearance. Exceptional levels of detailing are present throughout its robust body. The Y-type folding structure might remind you of the Lamborghini Aventador’s rim design which is sure to amaze anyone. The motor arms can easily be folded within the main unit to make it more practical and which can be used on a day to day basis. The spray nozzles are located right under the rotor which helps to optimize the spraying process on the crops by increasing its reach.

The integrated centrifugal cooling system found in the DJI Agras MG-1 is an innovation all by itself.  The small air duct in the front of the octocopter is equipped with a triple filter protection system that sucks in the surrounding air during its flight operation. The filter system repels dust and other particles from entering the octocopter and keeps it cleaner. The air that is sucked in then passes through the internal ducts and through the arms that hold the rotor motors. The heat within the octocopter is captured from all the working components and dissipates the heat to the surrounding air.  This unique feature helps to increase the lifespan of the working components by minimizing the heat within the octocopter.

The intelligent memory feature in the DJI Agras MG-1 enables the octocopter to record its current position and remember its past co-ordinates as it flies through the field. Even in case of a battery failure during flight, the flight path can be resumed from the last point where it stopped the spraying process. This is a truly remarkable feature considering the fact that the overall work time can be reduced drastically and effectively.

Microwave radar is unified with the DJI Agras MG-1’s intelligent flight control system which is able to scan the terrain below in real-time. This helps the octocopter to keep a constant height above the crops which is accurate within a centimeter. The density of the spray is also controlled according to the rise and drop of the flight path to maintain an even spray throughout the required area at all times.

Lightbridge 2 transmission system is used with the dedicated remote controller of the DJI Agras MG-1 which enables it to achieve ultra-low latency levels. This dedicated remote controller is also dust and water-proof which is capable of withstanding challenging environmental conditions. The low-energy display panel gives real-time flight information and can work for longer periods of time on a single charge. The joysticks are crisp and responsive which let you control the octocopter with precise flight movements. The convenient function keys especially designed to be used for agricultural purposes are placed conveniently and makes the process of agricultural spraying easier than ever before.

The DJI Agras MG-1 is a dust-proof and water resistant drone that is made with anti-corrosive materials that increases its longevity over many years even under regular usage. Once the spraying duties are over, it can easily be rinsed, folded and packed in a convenient manner to be carried over to the next field in your truck. This octocopter can easily carry 10 kg of crop spraying liquid and covers between 7 to 10 acres of land per hour. It is considered to be 40 times more efficient than the conventional process of manual spraying. It can fly up to 8 meters per second and automatically adjusts the spraying intensity according to the flight speed. This ensures an even coverage over vast areas of land which remains to be a laborious task when it is done manually. The option of flying this drone in automatic, semi-automatic or manual operation modes makes it a versatile flier.
